Group Rides

We have group rides geared for all skill levels, from the budding recreational cyclist to the experienced roadie. We stick to a no rider left behind policy, and all rides are led/monitored by our experienced Trek Ambassadors. No matter how you ride, you should be here.

Pint Ride

The Pint Ride is a 12 mile round-trip, casual paced group ride starting at Trek Store of Schererville, with the destination of Pokro Brewing in Griffith. The route is roughly 80% bike trails, and is led by our experienced Trek Ambassadors. The ride leaves at 6:30 pm, and spends about an hour at Pokro before heading back to the store. Riders will receive $1 off a pint of beer, half-priced pierogies, and for $5 (starting in May), can take advantage of a buffet-style dinner.


  • Must be 21 or older to ride - ID required
  • $5 for the buffet (starting May, 2018)
  • Must have and wear a bike helmet
  • Must have and use both front and rear bicycle lights
  • Lock is recommended, but not mandatory

Roadie Ride

The Roadie Ride is our most advanced group ride, with average speeds from 12 to 20 mph, and distances from 20-35 miles. The ride typically splits into two groups, with one going 30-35 miles at 18-20 mph, and the other going 18-22 miles at 12-16 mph. The ride leaves Trek at 6 pm, and usually returns between 7:15 and 7:45 pm. The ride consists of some bike trail riding, but mostly open roads.


  • Must have and wear a bike helmet
  • Must have and use both front and rear bicycle lights
  • Must be comfortable at 12+ mph

Rise and Grind

The Rise and Grind is a casual cruise up the Erie-Lackawanna bike trail to Sip Coffee House in Highland for breakfast. The ride is about 17 miles roundtrip, and consists of roughly 80% bike trail. The ride leaves Trek at 8:30 am every 1st and 3rd Saturday, and spends about an hour at Sip before heading back. All ages are welcome to join this family friendly group ride.


  • Must have and wear a bike helmet
  • Locks recommended, but not required
  • Ride is FREE, does not include breakfast

Winter Breakfast Ride

The Winter Breakfast Ride is for the riders with an iron will who refuse to quit riding outdoors during the winter months (November-February). The ride is 5-15 miles, happens regardless of the weather, and returns to enjoy a homemade breakfast back at Trek.

Indoor Spin Classes

During the cold winter months we offer indoor spin classes in the Training Room right next door to the store. Classes are offered for both beginners and more advanced cyclists. Our instructors will make you work hard, but the best part is that no one is left behind! The class is free, and trainers are available for $10 per session.


  • Bring your bike and indoor trainer
  • If you don't have a trainer, you can rent one for $10
